4 Weeks Old

Sammy sleeping on Daddy after dinner.

This is Samantha's first attempt to move objects with her mind. She has not been sucessful but, with this level of concnetraition, it's only a matter of time.

Bacause Grandma McCarthy was here, Meg and I were able to go out for a date. We had a great time but missed our little Samantha a lot. Samantha obviously missed us a lot as well. We took a picture of how miserable she looked when we got home. You can see that she really looks stressed-out and agitated.

"Hi Grandma McCarthy! Thanks for coming to visit me and helping out my mom and dad. To show my appreciation, I left you a gift in my diaper. Please open it before dad gets home from work"

The Birth of Samantha

Once upon a time in the town of Brookline, Meg and Kevin decided to start a family.
On Sunday, July 23rd at 12:33 PM, they welcomed Samantha Ann into their lives.
She weighed 6lbs 8 ounces and was 19 inches long.

In the beginning, she was a very content baby...

...and loved to be wrapped up like a burrito

In a sign of things to come, one of her first facial expressions was sticking her tongue out at her parents.

Resemblances to mom and dad were noticed almost immediately.
She has Mom's pouting bottom lip...

...and Dad's large feet

Once she was born, her hands went immediately up to her face, where they were in all of the ultra-sound images.

Mom and dad couldn't be happier with the birth of their first child and took her home on Tuesday July 25th.
